My husband Adrian and I live in Taunton,
Somerset along with three black and white cats who
completely took over the house when they moved in about
eight years ago! We both enjoy many different kinds of
music and films, the television series “The West Wing”,
good food and wine shared with friends and the city of
Venice – which we visit as often as we can.
I come from a
clergy family. While I was growing up my father
was chaplain of two public schools, firstly in Sandwich,
Kent and then in south London. I also
attended a Church of
England grammar
school for girls, Grey Coat Hospital in Westminster. In such an
environment I inevitably absorbed Christian teaching, hymns,
prayers and scripture and I now very much appreciate having
learned so much with so little effort on my part.
I am now a
Reader in the Church of England which means I am licensed by the
Bishop principally to preach and lead worship although the ways
in which Reader ministry develops are as varied as the
individuals who exercise that ministry.
I’m a member
of St Andrew’s church in Taunton and am very grateful for the
prayerful support and friendship that I’ve found there
particularly over the last fifteen years or so.
I have been
writing for
Redemptorist Publications for several years and I’m
grateful to them as well for their support in the publication of
“The Way of the Cross” and “Angels in the Wilderness”
details of which are elsewhere in this website. I also
contribute articles to
The Church Times and you can read a sample
here.
